David E. Nichols, Ph.D. is the Robert C. and Charlotte P. Anderson Distinguished Chair in Pharmacology at Purdue University, specializing in Medicinal and Bioorganic Chemistry Molecular Pharmacology and Toxicology. He's the founder of the Heffter Research Institute on Psychedelic drugs, and the head of the Purdue University Library Special Archives and Collections on Psychedelic Drugs.
